My October Reading List
And a book recap of September.

I will be honest with you, September has come and gone and I did not read quite as much as I should have. I DNFed one book, am halfway through an audiobook, and started a new fantasy series. Safe to say it was a chaotic month for me.
September recap
I started off September by reading Beartown by Fredrik Backman, only I never finished. The novel centers around a hockey town and the impact of choices. The character depth and storytelling are beautifully done. The writing is phenomenal and I was enjoying the book, it just isn’t as fast-paced as I needed. If any of you have read this book, let me know if I should pick it back up again! I really do want to finish it, I just need to find the motivation.
I am currently still working on The Secret History audiobook by Donna Tartt which has been a treat to listen to. While not technically a book I have been reading I thought it fit well into this list.
I never listen to audiobooks and I usually find it hard to listen to without losing concentration. I often get sidetracked by my surroundings, however, Donna Tartt’s narration and voice are captivating.
Her novel is the perfect dark academia read for the fall. So far it reminds me of…
